Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Vijay Kashyap, who was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, died on April 29, around 1015 hours after being infected by Corona. For the past several days, his health was getting worse. He was admitted in ICU for many days. Vijay Kashyap, an MLA from Charathaval constituency of Muzaffarnagar, was the Minister of State for Revenue and Flood Control in the Yogi government. He had also got Corona vaccinated in the past. The BJP government of UP has lost five of its MLAs so far in the second wave of Corona transition, while so far eight MLAs have lost their lives.

In the 2017 assembly elections, he defeated SP candidate Mukesh Chaudhary by more than 23 thousand votes. He was associated with the RSS since his youth and was also the District Head of the Intellectual Cell. Vijay Kashyap, who was of a calm temperament, originally belonged to a nanota resident of Saharanpur. Muzaffarnagar was living in a rented house in Shantinagar Colony in the city.
