In order to reduce the havoc of Corona virus infection in the country, people aged above 18 will get the Corona vaccine vaccine from May 1 in seven districts of Uttar Pradesh as part of the ongoing vaccination campaign. In the first phase, the state government has decided to get this vaccination in those districts where there are more than nine thousand active cases. Those between the ages of 18 and 44 will get vaccinated.
Corona vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44 will start in Uttar Pradesh from Saturday in seven districts where Kovid infection is the highest. These districts include Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Bareilly. These are the districts in which there are more than 9000 active cases of corona infection.
Additional Chief Secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad gave this information on Friday. He said that the software made for this will be tested. It will then be expanded to other districts. He informed that 1,01,49,009 people above 45 years of age have received the first dose of Corona vaccine so far. At the same time, the second dose has been applied to 22,33,929 people. Together, 1,23,82,938 doses of Corona vaccine have been made in the state so far.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to take all necessary steps and not to take any negligence regarding the vaccinations in the age group of 18 to 44, which will start from Saturday. In view of the vaccination of this age group, the state government has ordered one crore doses of corona vaccine. Out of this, 50 lakh dose
The order has been awarded to Bharat Biotech and so on to Serum Institute of India. For the supply of the remaining four to five crore doses, the Raj government is preparing for a global tender. Approval has been taken from the central government for this. There are 9.28 crore people in the age group of 18 to 44 years in the state.
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed to implement it in the state from May 1, soon after the decision of the Central Government regarding vaccination of people above 18 years of age. In view of the problem in the supply of vaccines for immunization of 18 people, while the steps of many states have stalled, the Yogi government is adamant on its decision. Despite the vaccine supply problem, it has decided to launch this campaign from seven districts with high infection. Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal said that the state government is making all efforts to ensure the availability of the vaccine. The government will also provide vaccine airlift to the manufacturing companies as per the requirement.
