Dehradun. A youth was arrested by the Nagar Kotwali police for stealing mobile and cash by cutting the shutter of the shop at RGM Plaza on Chakrata Road. According to the police, the youth committed the theft along with one of his companions. The second accused is being searched.
Kotwal SS Negi said that on April 19, Rashid Qureshi gave the tahrir that by cutting the shutter of his shop, the thieves stole about 75 thousand rupees and about 12 mobiles which came for repair. On Thursday, it was reported that one of the persons who had stolen in the mobile shop, is roaming on Omkar Road to sell mobile. The police arrested the accused Monu Kumar on this. 14 thousand rupees were recovered from him.
Accused told in interrogation that he along with his accomplice had also stolen in the shop located in Saharanpur Chowk and Dhamawala Bazar. From where he had stolen cash and cigarettes. They have spent the cash and the cigarettes are with Vivek. Kotwal told that Monu has been sent to jail after appearing before the court.
