Manila / Bhikiyasain (Almora): The time has come to vote for the by-election of the Salt Assembly. 49193 men and 47048 women i.e. a total of 96241 voters will close the fate of seven candidates, including BJP and Congress, on Saturday by pressing the button of EVM. There is a direct contest between the candidates of the main parties in this seat. The same polling parties for 151 booths have been deployed for a fair and transparent voting process. Primary school, Jhimar is the largest booth on this seat. There are 1211 voters here. Primary school Bhawali is the smallest booth with 200 voters.
The voting process for the Salt Assembly seat will begin at 7 am on Saturday. The administration and the police have completed preparations for a fair, transparent and sham polling on this festival of democracy lasting till 5 pm. For the news of the moment, the control room has started work in District Headquarters and Returning Officer Headquarters Bhikiyasain.
Four officers, including Tourism Development Officer Rahul Choubey, Assistant Director Dairy Sunil Adhikari, will keep watch in the control room located at the district headquarters. Disaster Management Officer Rakesh Joshi has been made the nodal officer at Bhikiyasain. Two more officers have been deployed with them.

Door to door race, police alert
In view of the voting on Saturday for the Salt by-election, the supporters of BJP and Congress candidates knocked on the house on Thursday. Party officials and workers of both the parties were engaged in public relations till late night. The police administration is cautious to ensure that there is no night peace.
