Lucknow. Amidst the increasing prevalence of corona infection, the Yogi government has once again come forward to help the poor, the helpless and the workers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the state government is committed to safeguarding the life and livelihood of every citizen. In the Kovid period, the last year, like the rickshaw drivers, track businessmen, construction workers, Antyodaya category people and other poor families were given maintenance allowance and ration to each member of the family, similarly the help will be provided again.
In a high-level meeting on Friday, the government spokesman said that CM Yogi said that various tasks were taken forward as the state government faced the challenge of Kovid-19 last year. Uttar Pradesh was the first state to provide maintenance allowance online to workers, street vendors, rickshaw pullers, porters, paladars etc. Organized sector workers were paid twice and unorganized sector workers were given a maintenance allowance once. In addition, a ration kit for 15 days was also provided. Ration card obligation was abolished and ration was made available twice a month through the public distribution system. Community kitchens were arranged on a large scale. Yogi said that this year also, maintenance allowance and ration will be made available to the needy. The officers have been instructed to update the list of people eligible for maintenance allowance. Similarly, review the system of distribution of ration.
Chief Secretary asked for a list of quarantine centers
With the spread of Corona, migrant labor-workers migrating from other states are returning to Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister has already given instructions to make quarantine centers in all districts for laborers coming from other states including Maharashtra, Delhi. These migrant laborers will be examined and kept in these centers when the report comes positive. Chief Secretary RK Tiwari has immediately sought a list of quarantine centers from all the district magistrates.
Harvard University praises the help of migrant laborers
Last year, during the Corona period, maintenance was made for all the workers, laborers, carts, khomcha, hawkers or daily workers of the state. It was also praised by Harvard University. The university said in its study that the Yogi government provided all kinds of facilities to migrant workers and workers during the Corona transition.
