Patna. The Nitish Kumar cabinet has not expanded till now amidst speculation in Bihar. More than two months have passed since Nitish-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has been formed, but till now there has been no talk among constituents about cabinet expansion.
Earlier it was being said that the cabinet would be expanded after the passing of Kharmas, but about 15 days went to Kharmas too. Here, sources say that the two main centers of power, BJP and JDU, have a screw up on the departments. However, the leaders of the two parties are denying any differences.
By the way, as of now, the situation seems unlikely in the month of expansion of the cabinet, although it is being said that if everything is decided then the cabinet expansion can happen anytime.
The JDU cabinet has been blaming the BJP for the expansion. Former JDU state president Vashistha Narayan Singh says that there is no difference of opinion regarding the expansion of the cabinet. He said that the cabinet would be expanded before the budget session.
Here, BJP state president Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal also says that there is no dispute about the cabinet. The cabinet can be expanded anytime. He said that there is no dispute about anything in the NDA, the government is running well.
On the other hand, however, the question of lacquer is that if there is no dispute about the cabinet expansion among the NDA constituents, then why is the cabinet expansion delayed?
Sources say that inside JDU, protests have arisen inside to make MLAs from outside as ministers. Many JD (U) MLAs are not in favor of making JM Khan a minister from Bahujan Samaj Party. Here, all the five MLAs of Bihar of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) have met Nitish Kumar on Thursday, after which the phase of speculation has started.
There are 13 ministers in Bihar except the Chief Minister, on whose support the government is running. 23 more ministers can be appointed in Bihar.
On November 16, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister with 14 ministers after the NDA got a majority in the Bihar Assembly elections. One of them, Mevalal Chaudhary has resigned.
For the time being, sources also say that the division of cabinet expansion is now only between BJP and JDU. The Bihar government consists of four parties, out of which Hindustani Awam Morcha (we) and Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) have got one ministerial post each.
However, the NDA constituents are not talking of differences regarding cabinet expansion, but till now the cabinet expansion is not indicating that everything is going well in the NDA.
