New Delhi. Amid continuous snowfall in the mountains, even in the last week of January, there is severe winter in all the northern India including Delhi. The situation is that once again the cold wave has started. According to the Meteorological Department, this phase of cold and fog will continue for the next several days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the phase of Northwest icy winds can continue for the next three-four days. Due to this, from Punjab to Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR and UP, MP can be affected from cold to heavy cold. The Meteorological Department has also predicted the effects of fog to remain still. Meanwhile, the national capital Delhi recorded poor air quality. AQI in Delhi recorded 339 this morning which falls in the severe category.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy fog was observed in many areas of Delhi-NCR including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan. This led to lower visibility. Visibility was recorded near 25 meters in Agra and Ambala this morning, while in Bihar’s Purnia, Bhagalpur and surrounding areas, visibility was recorded near 50 meters. Visibility was recorded at 200 meters in Kailash city, Agartala and Gorakhpur while visibility was below 500 meters in Patna, Gaya, Daltonganj, Lucknow, Tezpur, Maldas Kolkata, Jhansi Gwalior.
Heavy fog was also seen in areas of Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy fog is expected in these areas for the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, Madhya Pradesh has predicted fog for the next two-three days.
