New Delhi / Dehradun. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, who was found to be coronavirus positive on December 18, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi on Monday as his chest infection increased while he was in home isolation in Dehradun. Sources informed IANS. Rawat is housed at the AIIMS Trauma Center and a team of doctors led by the hospital director are examining his health.
Sources told IANS that the chief minister developed pneumonia, which worsened his condition and he was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi.
Earlier, Rawat was admitted to a hospital in Dehradun on Sunday after complaining of fever. Investigations by doctors there showed that Rawat’s chest infection was spreading. Later, on the advice of doctors, Rawat was taken to AIIMS Delhi on Monday.
On December 18, the chief minister had isolated himself after being found positive in the coronavirus investigation report.
