new Delhi . The Union Health Ministry on Saturday informed that 15,37,190 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus so far across the country. A massive vaccination campaign was conducted across the country on 16 January, with 27,776 sessions being conducted.
Meanwhile, in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, a person has been hospitalized in the last 24 hours due to side effects. The ministry reported that the man received a vaccine dose on January 20. With this, the total number of such cases has increased to 11 who are undergoing treatment in the hospital, which is 0.0007 percent of the total immunization figures.
Meanwhile, the ministry also said that new deaths were reported from the vaccine in the last 24 hours, where a 56-year-old woman living in Gurugram died. However, postmortem confirmed cardio-pulmonary disease, which is not associated with vaccination.
A total of 6 deaths have been reported from the vaccine so far. However, the ministry claimed that none of these cases were related to vaccination.
