Kolkata. After Suvendu joined the BJP, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee may no longer trust the officer family. This is the reason why the first Soumendu was removed from the post of administrator and Shishir Adhikari, senior Trinamool Congress MP and Suvendu’s father, was removed from the post of chairman of Digha Shankarpur Development Authority (DSDA). This information has been revealed in an official notification. In place of the officer, MLA Akhil Giri, who was earlier the vice chairman of this authority, has been made the chairman. Giri is considered a staunch opponent of the officer in the Trinamool Congress. Giri told reporters that he did nothing as the chairman of DSDA, so he was removed.
Trinamool told Shishir officer incompetent
Shishir Adhikari is also the former Trinamool President of the former Medinipur district. Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that the officials were not able to act as the president of the agency. He said, ‘Shishir Da is an experienced leader. Maybe he is unwell. But we were pained when he did not utter any word against his sons Suvendu and Soumendu, who are continuously attacking the Trinamool after joining the BJP. On the other hand, the State Municipal Development Department has dissolved the Board of Administrators of Kanthi Municipality.
Tamluk Nappa’s administrator also changed
On the other hand, Rabindranath Sen, who is considered close to the officer family, has also been removed from the post of administrator of Tamluk Municipality after Kanthi. On Monday, the Joint Secretary of the State Urban Development Department issued a notification in this regard. It has been said that Deepender Narayan Roy will henceforth be the administrator of Tamluk Nappa. Former councilor co-coordinators Chandan Pradhan, Subrata Roy, Shaktipad Bhattacharya, Prithvi Nandi, Snigdha Mishra and Chitta Maiti will be members of the governing body. Ward 11 coordinator Biswajit Dutt joined the BJP a few days ago, replacing him with lawyer Chitta Maity as the governing body in his place.
The term of the elected board in the Tamluk, Kanthi and Agra municipalities expired last May. After this, the state government appointed administrators in the above three municipalities who were close to the officer family. It is necessary to mention here that Shishir Adhikari is not only an MP but is considered one of the founding members of Trinamool and another son of his, Divyendu Adhikari is also an MP from Trinamool.
