In this rain affected match, Mumbai scored 155 runs while batting first, in response when Gujarat came to bat, rain interrupted the match many times. The game was halted for a long time due to rain, due to which Gujarat had to score 15 runs to win in the last over.

The last over also proved to be very exciting, in which 14 runs were scored in the first 4 balls and Gujarat had to score just one run to win in 2 balls. Then Gerald Coetzee got out on the fifth ball. Arshad Khan ran one run on the last ball and gave Gujarat a thrilling victory.
