Mumbai . The Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against an unidentified man who allegedly threatened death of Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar and his secretary last month. Officials gave this information. The mobile numbers of both Pednekar and his associates were called from an unknown number on the evening of 22 December and the caller spoke in Hindi.
Pednekar said, “The caller claimed that he was calling from Jamnagar (Gujarat). He threatened me. After that I contacted Joint Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nangre-Patil and then filed a complaint at Azad Maidan Police Station. Routed. ”
She said she was busy meeting with colleagues at BMC headquarters that evening and ignored the first call.
After a few missed calls, the person called his secretary and threatened to kill him, and even sent a death threatening message.
“He kept abusing me in vulgar language and warned me of dire consequences, and said that he would kill me if I complained to the police,” he said.
Although according to sources, the caller is reportedly tracked and a team was sent to take him into possession, but no official confirmation has yet been made on the developments.
