new Delhi. Meteorological Department officials said that light to moderate rain and hail fell at many places in the national capital on Wednesday. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius Wednesday, six degrees above the season’s average.
An Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) official said that Safdarjung received 6 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
He said the skies would be generally cloudy with light to moderate rains in many parts of the city and thunderstorms are expected at isolated places.
He said the maximum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius.
In the morning, the visibility decreased to 300 meters in the national capital due to rain.
Light to moderate rains in many parts of the city led to traffic jams. Traffic was mainly affected due to reduced visibility.
“Traffic on the road from Azadpur to Mukarba Chowk is affected due to waterlogging on the Panchavati red light,” the Delhi Traffic Police said on its official Twitter handle. Please avoid traveling on this route.
