Patna. Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), said on Wednesday that the farmers of Bihar went to Punjab, Haryana and became a presence. He expressed fear that if the laws brought in by the central government were not opposed, the farmers here would become beggars. He raised the question that why the farmers of Bihar have the lowest income in the country. Addressing a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi urged the farmers of Bihar to join the farmer movement and said that the farmers of Bihar have the lowest income in the country.
He said, “In terms of income, the farmers of Bihar have gone down. Farmers have higher income from here in the neighboring state of Jharkhand too. Is it not true that the wages that Maharashtra, Punjab and Haryana are doing are Bihar. Are farmers. Why the farmers have become laborers? If the farmers do not oppose it and do not take to the streets, then the farmers of Bihar will become beggars. ”
He alleged that many false rumors were being floated about the farmers’ movement. Farmers are being abused.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi said that the goal of procurement of paddy and wheat is not being achieved in Bihar. He said that the market was already abolished in Bihar, after all, who benefited from it. He said that today the income of farmers of Bihar is less than the farmers of any state of the country.
Tejashwi took a sarcasm at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said that why are Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish silent on the death of farmers who congratulated the celebrity by tweeting on small things.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh, Tejashwi Yadav said that by standing under the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Gangi Maidan, we had pledged to support the farmers’ movement and we are still on this resolution. He said that till the demands of the farmers are not met, the RJD will stand firmly with the farmers’ movement.
