Lucknow . The counting of votes for the seven bypolls in Uttar Pradesh’s seven assembly seats began on Tuesday morning amid tight security arrangements. In the by-elections held on November 3 in seven seats of the state, 53% of the voters had decided the fate of 88 candidates in EVMs.
The seats where the by-elections were held include Naogaon Sadat, Tundla, Bangarmau, Bulandshahar, Deoria, Ghatampur and Malhani assembly seats. Of these, the Malhani seat went to the SP’s account in the last assembly election, the remaining seats were occupied by the BJP.
