Lucknow. The Samajwadi Party has started giving impetus to the Kunba Badao Abhiyan after a big rebellion in the Bahujan Samaj Party during the Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, more than half a dozen leaders of other parties, including former MP Kailashnath Singh Yadav and his son Sunil Yadav, will join the Samajwadi Party, among which Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress leaders are more in number.
The Samajwadi Party, which is preparing for UP Mission 2022, is waging a campaign to prove itself as an alternative to the Bharatiya Janata Party. After the rebellion of about half a dozen MLAs of the Bahujan Samaj Party and their meeting with Akhilesh Yadav, the supporters are campaigning furiously to prove the BSP’s ‘B’ team. Similar statements are being made to rebel MLAs. The SP hopes that this campaign will weaken the BSP’s Dalit-Muslim alliance. Its benefit will be in the form of mobilization of the SP’s favor of Muslims.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav will provide Samajwadi Party membership to many BSP leaders, including former Bahujan Samaj Party MP Kailash Nath Yadav and his son Sunil Yadav, at around 12:30 pm on Monday. Balakumar Patel, who was a member of Banda from the Samajwadi Party and former MLA Ram Singh Patel, will be returning home. It will also join the Samajwadi Party along with its supporters. Former MP Bal Kumar Patel is also named among those who ride the cycle on Monday.
The Samajwadi Party has tried to convey the message that it is the first choice of non-BJP candidates by including Congress veteran and former MP Annu Tandon before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-election.
