Lucknow. After the approval of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the much-discussed cooperative bank appointment scam during the Samajwadi Party rule in Uttar Pradesh, the Special Research Team (SIT) can now register an FIR against the accused officers on Monday. Along with this, the SIT has also collected many important evidences of rigging in the recruitments made through Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation and Cooperative Institutional Services Board.
The SIT is already investigating the mess in these recruitments. There is also a preparation to submit the investigation report of recruitments related to Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation and Cooperative Institutional Services Board soon. However, the government has given one month to SIT for this. Investigations have also revealed the appointment of around 33 people from the same assembly constituency in the recruitment to the post of assistant managers in the cooperative bank. Sources say the role of the two then chairman of the Co-operative Institutional Service Board is also under investigation.
Among the recruitments that SIT is now investigating, about 1018 posts belong to the UP Rural Development Bank. Apart from the recruitment of 96 posts in the State Warehousing Corporation, appointments made to other posts are also included. The investigating agency has also questioned several erstwhile officials regarding this case. Documents related to recruitment have also been collected. It is worth mentioning that there are serious allegations of irregularities in the recruitments made in UP Cooperative Land Development Bank, Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation and Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited between the years 2012 to 2017 during the SP rule.
