Lahore The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to hold three T20 Internationals against Zimbabwe next month in Rawalpindi rather than in Lahore. Earlier this match was to be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Now these matches will be held on 7, 8 and 10 November only at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This decision has been taken due to deteriorating air quality.
PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said in a statement that air quality had deteriorated. Air pollution is also forecast in November. In such a situation, we have decided to hold matches in Lahore in Rawalpindi. This will also affect the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League, which will now be held in Karachi.
One day series will be held in Rawalpindi
Wasim Khan further said that the remaining four matches of the PSL and three T20s against Zimbabwe were required to be relocated to conduct matches without risk or interruption. Earlier this month, the ODI series against Zimbabwe starting on October 30 was shifted from Multan to Rawalpindi due to logistic and operational challenges.
