Dehradun. The BJP has targeted Congress leaders for opposing the expansion plan of Jolly Grant Airport by the Congress. BJP spokesperson Vipin Kanthola said that the Congress’ thinking has always been anti-development.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, BJP state spokesperson Vipin Kanthola said that the expansion of Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is very important for Uttarakhand. Not only is it an important role in the development of the state, it is also very important from a strategic point of view. Uttarakhand is bordered by Nepal and China. After the latest dispute with China, its expansion has become more urgent. The Congress government did nothing in terms of air connectivity in the state. The opposition of Congress has proved that they do not have issues left.
Review before the Prime Minister’s meeting
Prior to the progress meeting to be taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Secretary Omprakash held a review meeting with all departments. During this time, he obtained information about the current status of the ongoing central schemes in the state and the progress of works against the deadline given by the Center.
On November 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting to review the progress of the Center’s plans with all states. In view of this, on Tuesday, Chief Secretary Omprakash held a meeting with all the departments and inquired about the ongoing central schemes in them. He inquired about the works under the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund in the Department of Agriculture, the Export Mission in the Department of Industries and the Urban Vendors Scheme in the Urban Development Department. He said that information about all the works should be compiled so that information about the steps being taken in the state can be presented to the Prime Minister.
