Dehradun. The BJP has quipped the Congress General Secretary and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s plan to carry out Parikrama Yatra on the issue of employment in Haridwar. BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that it would be better that the former chief minister take a gratitude to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and the state government for running an employment campaign in the state and apologize to the public for neglecting the unemployed during his tenure.
In a statement, BJP state president Bhagat said that the state government is running an employment campaign. This year has been declared as Employment Year. In the last three and a half years, lakhs of jobs were created in the government, public and private sectors under the leadership of the Chief Minister and more than seven lakh jobs were provided in various sectors. In view of the recruitments made by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, a total of eight recruitment examinations were conducted under Congress rule from 2014 to 2017, in which 801 posts were appointed. At the same time, 59 examinations were held during the BJP regime from 2017 to 2020, in which 6000 posts were recruited. Presently the recruitment process for 7200 posts in the Commission is in motion.
The number of doctors in the state has been two and a half times since the Congress rule. The appointment process of teachers is underway. Public service organization has also completed selection on three and a half thousand posts. MNREGA employs six lakh people per year. Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana has been started for the youth and the youth who have returned to the state. He said that Congress leaders are troubled by the excellent work of the state government and are once again adopting the old tactics of lying and misleading the public.
