Patna. The issue of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Bihar Assembly Election is still complicated. Party president Chirag Paswan is said to be soft on seat sharing. However, many more speculations are being made in the political corridors regarding the stand of the LJP. The big question is whether LJP will field its candidates in 143 seats in NDA elections? Suspense on a range of issues ranging from being in the NDA to seat sharing will end with the LJP Parliamentary Board meeting this evening. Major decisions are expected in the meeting. It is believed that the allocation of seats in the NDA will take place only after this meeting of the LJP. The eyes of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal United (JDU) are focused on this meeting of Chirag Paswan.
Final decision to stay with NDA in the meeting
According to state LJP spokesman Ashraf Ansari, this will be the last meeting of the party before the elections. The meeting will be attended by all party MPs, senior officials and MLAs. A final decision will be taken on whether to contest elections with the NDA or to field candidates for 143 seats. According to Ansari, LJP has also prepared to release the vision document of Bihar First Bihari First, which will be implemented by the next government.
LJP is seeking 36 seats of choice for itself
LJP is seeking 36 seats for itself. With this, the party’s condition is that it should be given the choice of most seats. If this demand of LJP is accepted then BJP and JDU will have to compromise on many seats in their quota. That is why the matter has not been resolved even after LJP President Chirag Paswan had several meetings with the BJP’s top leadership. Now the meeting of the Parliamentary Board of LJP has been called on Saturday. In this meeting, the party can take its decision on seat sharing.
Expectation of softness in Chirag Paswan’s attitude
It is known that before this, the LJP had asked to field candidates for 143 seats. The LJP has also clarified that it is with the BJP in the NDA and will field a candidate against the JDU. However, sources reveal that many preferred party leaders are not convinced with the decision to leave the NDA on this issue. For this reason, softening of the lamp is expected.
BJP has done final effort to control damage
On Friday, the last attempt for damage control has been made by the BJP on Friday. On Friday, Chirag again spoke to BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah. Now the decision is to take Chirag Paswan on Saturday at the party’s national office at 12 Janpath, Delhi. Bihar Parliamentary Board President Raju Tiwari and Bihar LJP Principal General Secretary Shahnawaz Kaifi will also attend this important meeting.
BJP central election committee meeting tomorrow
After this, the BJP Central Election Committee will meet on October 4. BJP wants the status of all NDA parties to be clear before this meeting so that it can declare the names of its candidates. The nomination of candidates for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections has started from October 1, but the NDA candidates have not been able to make nominations yet due to the announcement of the seats.
