Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, human trials of the corona virus vaccine will be done in Lucknow and Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday approved Bharat Biotech International Limited to conduct the third phase of clinical trials in these two cities of Uttar Pradesh. Dr. RK Dhiman, Director of Sanjay Gandhi PGI, has been made the Nodal Officer of Lucknow and Dr. Ganesh Kumar, Director of BRD Medical College has been made Nodal Officer of Gorakhpur. The company may start the third phase of trials later this month or in the first week of October.
Bharat Biotech International Limited, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology (NIV), has developed this first indigenous vaccine covaccine. Currently, two phase trials have been conducted. Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that it has been approved to conduct the third phase of trials in Lucknow and Gorakhpur in UP. In this, along with these two institutions, more people will be tested. Two nodal officers have been appointed to strictly follow the security and other protocols required for the trial.
The vaccine is administered to the Corona front-line worker and people of different ages under a trial of cocaine. Antibody is checked before vaccination, if the antibodies are zero then vaccinated. Then the blood sample is tested again, if antibodies are being formed then the vaccine is working. At present, the clinical trial has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Let us know that Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has said that India’s first vaccine against novel corona virus may be available by the end of this year. Dr. Harsh Vardhan had said in a recent program that one of our Kovid-19 vaccine candidates is in the third phase of clinical trial. We are confident that a vaccine will be developed by the end of this year.
