New Delhi. Gujarat Titans completed a hat-trick of defeats at Chinnaswamy’s ground. For the second consecutive match, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Gujarat had to face defeat at the hands of RCB. After the flop show of the batsmen, the bowlers tried their best to turn the losing game around, but they could not lead the team to victory. Captain Shubman Gill looked extremely disappointed with the defeat.
What did Captain Gill say on the defeat?
“It depends on the wicket. You see a few overs in the beginning to get an idea of how to play. I think a total between 170 to 180 is good,” Shubman Gill said after the loss to RCB. I think the way we batted and bowled in the powerplay made all the difference. We would have had an extra bowling option had we not lost early wickets.”
The Gujarat Titans captain further said, “It is important for us to start from zero in the next match. We have to forget this defeat and move ahead. We can take a lot of positive things from this game. What is important for us is that Let us not repeat the mistakes. From here we will have to look to win all the matches.”
Gujarat’s batting order flopped
The batting order of Gujarat Titans flopped badly at Chinnaswamy’s ground. The opening pair of Saha and Shubman Gill failed to give a good start to the team. Saha was out after scoring only one run, while Gill could score only 2 runs.
Sai Sudarshan also could not show anything special with the bat and walked away after scoring 6 runs. Shahrukh Khan scored 37 runs and David Miller scored 30 runs. Rahul Tewatia contributed 35 runs. The entire Gujarat team was all out after scoring 147 runs.
