This time, security arrangements have been tightened regarding flag hoisting at the Red Fort in Delhi. At the same time, preparations have also been made to deal with an invisible enemy like Corona. On 15 August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the flag from the Red Fort. This time the challenge for the security agencies is two-fold, because this time there is more danger than the external enemy as well as the invisible enemy like Corona.
In view of the corona infection, some special changes have been made in the Red Fort this time. At the same time, security arrangements have also been changed regarding the program.
A senior police officer said, “Around 350 policemen, who will be part of the Guard of Honor on August 15, have been quarantined, including some senior policemen.”
In addition to the Prime Minister of the country, many other big personalities are involved in the parade of 15 August. On the red carpet, the Prime Minister of the Guard of Honor himself passes between the parade commander and the jawans. This decision has been taken keeping this in mind.
According to an officer working in the Red Fort, “All the preparations have been almost completed. Also the Red Fort is being sanitized 2 times a day.”
Thousands of BSF, Delhi Police personnel have been deployed on all the routes passing through Red Fort. At the same time hundreds of CCTV cameras have been installed at all the intersections and some are yet to be installed, which are being installed.
There is no entry of any common citizen inside the Red Fort. All the staff working in the Red Fort have been given a pass, which they will be able to show inside. A person who does not have a special pass, will not be allowed inside.
In view of Independence Day, the police have made elaborate security arrangements. From the residential areas to the markets, the police is on the lookout. Policemen are also patrolling the areas. Vehicles are also being examined by putting barricades at night.
