A video questioning the fairness and transparency of Lok Sabha elections is going viral these days, in which a young man is seen voting for BJP several times. After controversy arose over this video, Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep has filed a case against the youth in Etah. Also, instructions have been issued to suspend the polling team and initiate disciplinary action. Apart from this, re-polling in the concerned polling station has been recommended to the ECI.
Let us tell you that after this video surfaced, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had fiercely attacked the Election Commission and BJP by posting it on Facebook. In the viral video, a young man is seen voting 8 times. It is alleged that he came to the polling booth again and again and voted for BJP every time.
Case registered against the accused youth
Taking action in this matter, Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep said that a video of a person voting multiple times has gone viral on social media. He said that a case has been registered on this incident in Nayagaon police station of Etah district under sections 171-F and 419 of IPC and sections 128, 132 and 136 of RP Act 951.

He said that the person seen voting several times in the video has been identified as Rajan Singh son of Anil Singh, resident of village Khiriya Pamran. Police have arrested Rajan. Apart from this, instructions have been issued to suspend all the members of the polling party and initiate disciplinary action. Also, re-polling in the concerned polling station has been recommended to the ECI.
Strict action against those who rig elections
The official said that strict instructions have been issued to all district election officers in other phases of UP to strictly follow the process of voter identification. He said that those who rigged the elections will not be spared.
