On the farewell Jumma ki Namaz, Sambhal’s Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shreesh Chandra said on Thursday that there is no ban on offering namaz in the traditional way, but to prevent accidents, a ban has been imposed on gathering in large numbers on the rooftops.
Speaking to reporters on the preparations for the Juma Alvida ki Namaz, the ASP said that adequate number of police force has been deployed under the sector and zone to ensure that people offer namaz peacefully.
Ban on offering namaz on the road and rooftops
He said that in the peace committee meeting on Wednesday, the matter of offering namaz on the rooftops by some people was raised. The ASP said that those people had asked whether they can offer namaz in a non-traditional way on the roofs of the nearby places or not, on which it was clarified that they should not gather on the roofs, as it can lead to an accident.
Chandra said that similarly, in view of the possibility of an accident due to offering namaz on the road, they have been forbidden to offer namaz there (on the road) as well. The ASP said that it is being ensured that the namaz is performed safely in the mosques and Eidgahs where it has been offered traditionally.

Come to the mosque wearing a black band and register your protest
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has made an important appeal to the Muslims, stating that they should register their protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 by tying a black band on their arms on the occasion of Juma-tul-Vida. The Muslim Personal Law Board has described this bill as a deep conspiracy. Its purpose is to evict Muslims from their religious institutions.
The board has said that it is the responsibility of every Muslim in the country to register strong protest against this bill. Come to the mosque on the day of Juma-tul-Vida with a black band on your hand and peacefully and silently demonstrate your grief and anger.
