There was a wave of grief and anger outside the district hospital till late night over the death of Shivam, son of CRPF’s Kirti Chakra awardee martyr Rajkumar Yadav, under suspicious circumstances. After this incident, SDM Sohawal Abhishek Singh, who was surrounded by allegations, has been removed from the post. On Saturday night, the family members of the deceased protested outside the district hospital, holding SDM Sohawal responsible for the death of their son. The family members alleged that Shivam was in depression due to the harassment of SDM Abhishek Singh, due to which this incident happened with him. SDM accused of harassing Shivam A large number of people including SP MP Awadhesh Prasad, former minister Tej Narayan Pandey Pawan sat on the dharna with the family members of the deceased. The deceased’s brother Himanshu has also accused the SDM of harassing Shivam. Himanshu said that he was harassed every day. On Tuesday, Shivam’s head was shaved in front of everyone in the tehsil. SP Rural Balwant Chaudhary also tried to convince the people. District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh, who reached the protest site late at night, assured investigation and effective action, after which the anger of the people subsided. This demonstration continued till about 2 o’clock in the night. During this time, CRPF 63 Battalion Commandant Satish Dubey was also present with his team. CRPF team remained engaged in helping the martyr’s family. After the post-mortem on Saturday night, the body reached the deceased’s house in Ranopali on Sunday morning. As soon as the body arrived, there was an uproar in the family. A large number of CRPF and police personnel were present at the deceased’s residence. Shivam was cremated by his brother Himanshu at Baikunth Dham located at Balughat in Ramnagari. While descending from the flyover in Saadatganj, another bike rider came out from behind near a truck, after which he lost balance and fell. The DCM coming from behind also stops at the same place. Shivam’s uncle Ramvilas says that he has also seen the footage. It is clearly visible that he lost his balance and fell due to the bike rider coming from behind. This could be part of a conspiracy. However, according to the police, road construction material and gravel etc. were lying at the place where the accident happened. Shivam probably died due to serious head injury after falling there. Cantt police station in-charge Pankaj Singh said that the post-mortem report has found the death to be due to anti-mortem injury. He had suffered a serious head injury due to falling with the bike. Keeping in view the allegations of the family, investigation is being done on every aspect. SP Rural Balwant Chaudhary said that the footage has been found. The real cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report comes. Its comprehensive report will be submitted to the District Magistrate. During the trouble faced by the family of CRPF’s martyred Cobra Commando Rajkumar, who was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, CRPF officers and jawans stood like a family. CRPF jawans also appeared heartbroken by the incident that happened with the son of their martyred brave colleague.
Commandant Satish Kumar Dubey, Assistant Commandant Vinay Singh and Inspector Ranjit Yadav along with a large number of jawans were present with the family of the deceased in the district hospital till late night to share the grief.
The entire CRPF team was also involved in the funeral procession on Sunday morning. Along with consoling the family, the commandant and the jawans also expressed their condolences by shouldering Shivam’s body.
