Many trains passing through Kanpur and Lucknow railway line will be cancelled. Routes of many trains will also be changed. This will increase the problems of passengers going from Delhi to Eastern UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal. DRM SM Sharma of Lucknow division gave this information on Monday. He also told the reason for cancellation of trains and change in route. According to the information given by DRS, rail service will be disrupted on Kanpur-Lucknow railway line from 20 March to 30 April.
Mega traffic and power block from 20 March to 30 April
DRM said that this decision has been taken to complete the track work on Ganga bridge. The work of changing the up line turf of the railway bridge located on the river Ganga is going to start, regarding which today DRM SM Sharma of Lucknow division said that the railway department will take mega traffic and power block from 8 am to 5 pm daily from 20 March to 30 April.
This work will be done on bridge number 110 located between Kanpur bridge left bank and Kanpur station. H-beam sleepers will be installed in place of old steel turf.
At present, trains are being stopped due to dilapidated turf
This will make the operation of trains more safe. Currently, all the trains on the up line are being stopped completely due to dilapidated turf. This is affecting the speed of trains and the convenience of passengers. New material has reached the railway station.
Necessary equipment and material is being delivered to the site
The Railway Department has issued special guidelines for the work. All the necessary equipment and material have been delivered to the site before the block. Engineering department officials are keeping regular monitoring. Passengers have been informed about the cancellation or diversion of trains.
Railway has made full preparations for the mega block
Railway Protection Force and technical team will ensure safety during the work.
Other railway divisions have also been informed in advance.
Along with the repair of the main track, maintenance and shadow blocks have also been planned.
The DRM said that various train routes will be affected in UP due to different reasons.
About 74 trains will be affected every day
Many trains will be cancelled or their routes will be changed in March and April. The trains being run for passengers are likely to be delayed by 2.5 to 3 hours. A block of 9 hours will be given every day, about 74 trains will be affected, which may cause inconvenience to passengers.
At present, information has been given about the operation of these trains being affected
Among the trains that will remain disrupted on the Kanpur-Lucknow rail route, 11110 Lucknow Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Intercity will remain disrupted from March 20 to May 1.
51813 Jhansi Lucknow, 51814 Lucknow Jhansi Passenger, 55345 Lucknow Kasganj, 55346 Kasganj Lucknow Passenger, 64203 Lucknow Kanpur Central MEMU, 64204 Kanpur Central Lucknow MEMU will also not run from March 20 to May 1.
