SSP Anurag Arya of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh has taken strict action against the police officers who were negligent regarding arrest and recovery warrants in January 2025. He has ordered a preliminary inquiry against 57 inspectors. Due to which there is a stir in the police department. Along with this, the SSP has also honored four sub-inspectors who did the right work during the work load with awards and commendation letters.
In fact, the SSP reviewed the arrest and recovery warrants received from the courts in all the police stations of the district from January 1 to January 31. After the review, those who have got good results were rewarded. During this, Inspector Sunny Kumar Chowki Incharge Baheri, Inspector Vijay Tewatia Thana Devraniyan, Inspector Mohammad Sartaj Thana Premnagar and Inspector Raviraj Thana Kila have been awarded awards and commendation letters for their excellent work. Officers doing good work were honored.
At the same time, strict action was taken against the officers who were negligent. SSP ordered preliminary investigation of 57 sub-inspectors who were negligent regarding arrests and recovery warrants. Along with this, 187 sub-inspectors have been warned. Due to negligence in the execution of recovery warrants, preliminary investigation of 12 sub-inspectors has been started and 78 sub-inspectors have been warned.
Agitation caused by SSP’s action
This action of SSP has created a stir in the police department. The 57 inspectors against whom investigation has been started include inspectors associated with various police stations of Bareilly. These include inspector Kamalveer, Brijesh Singh, Dev Dutt Gaur, and many other names who have come under investigation due to negligence in the execution of arrest warrants. At the same time, inspectors like Pramod Kumar, Sanjay Singh, Vipin Tomar are among the officers who were negligent in the recovery warrants.
‘Negligence will not be tolerated’
