During the Maha Kumbh, on one hand, the passengers are troubled by the crowd inside the train, on the other hand, a unique case came to light in Nigatpur, UP, in which the anger of the train passengers burst out on the officials. What happened was that the Kumbh Mela Special Passenger Train was going from Prayagraj to Varanasi with passengers. In the middle, the driver stopped the train at a station and left citing fatigue. The train stood there for 2 hours. After this, the passengers informed the railway officials and Varanasi administration on social media. After which another driver was called and the train was moved forward. The train could leave from Nigatpur station after 5 hours.
According to the information, Kumbh Mela Special Passenger Train number 0537 left for Varanasi from Prayagraj with 77 passengers. The train reached Nigatpur station at 11 am. The train driver Nathu Lal stopped the train at Nigatpur station near Kachhwa in Mirzapur. Nathu Lal said that he has been driving the train continuously for 16 hours and is very tired. Due to fatigue, he cannot drive the train now.
Train driver Nathu Lal said that he did not have the courage to take the train further. His body was giving up. Saying this, Nathu Lal left the train and went away. The train remained at the same place for two hours due to which the anger among the devotees started increasing. At one o’clock in the afternoon, people came to know that the driver had left the train and gone. Now the restlessness among the devotees started increasing. The devotees informed the Varanasi administration and the railway on social media.
Seeing the trouble of the devotees, ADG Varanasi zone Piyush Mordia spoke to SP Mirzapur and asked him to immediately intervene in this matter. SP Mirzapur spoke to the railway officials and arranged for another driver. After about three hours, the train left for Varanasi from there at around four in the evening. The devotees have thanked ADG Piyush Mordia on social media after the train started.
