Four members of a family died of suffocation in a fire in a house located in Kanchan Park in Ghaziabad’s Loni police station area. The deceased include a woman and three children, whose age is said to be less than 10 years. On receiving the information, senior police and fire department officials also reached the spot. Police sent the injured to the hospital.
The police is saying that 8 members of the family were in the house, out of which 4 were found dead. Children are also among the dead. Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal said that the fire brigade reached the spot on receiving the information. It was found that the fire broke out at night and the people sleeping in the house got caught in it. 4 people were found dead, the other four have mild burns. All have been admitted to the hospital. Gulbahar (32), Jaan (9), Shaan (8) and Zeeshan (7) were found dead in the house. Other injured family members have been admitted to the hospital.
The cause of the fire in the house is being investigated. The family used to do tailoring work in the house and a sewing machine and cutting clothes were also kept in the house. Let us tell you that in this area, clothes stitching work was done in every house.
The fire officer told that on Sunday morning at 7:06 am, information was received at Loni Fire Station from Fire Station Kotwali that a house at 4 Khambha Road, Gali No. 5, Kanchan Park, Police Station Loni, Ghaziabad has caught fire. At the same time, 3 fire engines were dispatched to the spot. The fire had spread up to three storeys of the house. Then only, work to control the fire started and the walls of the said house were broken from the adjacent houses. After extinguishing the fire, 4 people trapped inside the house (Gulbahar (32) wife of Shahnawaz, Shaan (8) son of Shahnawaz, Jaan (9) son of Shahnawaz, Zeeshan (7) son of Shamshad) were found unconscious. They were immediately sent to the hospital by the local police.
4 people were found on the roof of the house, out of which 2 people (woman Ayesha (30) wife of Shamshad and child Ayan (4) son of Shamshad) were found burnt, who were also taken to the hospital by the local people for first aid. Also 2 more people (Shahnawaz (30), Shamshad (30)) were safely brought down from the roof.
