In Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, the court has sentenced the accused uncle of rape to death under the Special POCSO Act in the case of rape of a 3-year-old girl. The accused was shot and arrested by Hardoi police during an encounter after the incident in 2020. While pronouncing the order, the court has said that such male vampires are dangerous for the society. The incident is of 28 July 2020. The accused took his niece out of the house on the pretext of a walk and raped her. After this, he left her unconscious at home and went away. Seeing the innocent girl soaked in blood, the victim’s side filed a case by giving a complaint in the police station.
After the incident, the police searched for the accused and arrested him during an encounter. The police arrested the accused and sent him to jail. On the other hand, seeing the critical condition of the victim, she was referred from Hardoi to Lucknow. When there was no improvement in the condition of the girl, she was later referred to Delhi. The girl is still undergoing treatment in Delhi. In this entire case, the victim girl reached the court in a critical condition and testified against the accused.
The case lasted for four years
Prosecution’s government advocate Manish Srivastava said that after a debate that lasted for 4 years, the evidence obtained in the incident has been presented before the court. On the basis of the statements of eight witnesses and the pleading by the police, the court has found the accused guilty. On the other hand, the accused’s lawyer Ramendra Singh Tomar also gave many arguments. The court has sentenced the accused to death and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees.
This sentence has been given to the accused Ishwar Pal in the court of Additional District Judge Mohammad Naseem of POCSO Court. After this, the police has sent the accused to jail for further action. Area Officer Shilpa Kumari said that as a result of the effective pleading done by the police station Sandi and the prosecution department under Operation Conviction, the court has sentenced the death penalty under the POCSO Act. The court has also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees in this case.
