Lucknow. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a three-member judicial inquiry commission has been constituted to investigate the Hathras accident. The commission will complete the investigation in two months and submit its report to the government.
The judicial inquiry commission constituted under the chairmanship of former Allahabad High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava (II) includes former IAS officer Hemant Rao and former IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh as members.
The commission will conduct a detailed investigation by investigating the incident of death of 121 people due to stampede in the satsang program of Sakar Narayan Vishwa Hari alias Bhole Baba on July 2 in village Fullerai Mughalgarhi of Hathras on five points. The headquarters of the commission will be in Lucknow. It is believed that the commission will soon reach Hathras and start its investigation.
Points of investigation
- How much did the organizers comply with the permission and its conditions given by the district administration for the program.
- Is this an accident or a conspiracy. Aspects of the possibility of any other planned criminal incident will also be investigated.
- Arrangements made by the district administration and police for crowd control and law and order during the event and other aspects related to them.
- Determination of the causes and circumstances of the incident.
- Suggestions to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
Let us tell you that on Tuesday, a satsang of the alleged saint Bhole Baba was organized in Fullerai village of Sikandrarao tehsil of Hathras, in which about two lakh devotees had come. After the completion of the satsang, Bhole Baba started leaving the pandal, during which devotees were also coming out.
The crowd was stopped to let out Bhole Baba’s convoy, during which a stampede occurred. 121 people have been reported dead in this stampede, most of whom are women. On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi took stock of the incident spot and has given instructions to take action against the culprits.
