Muzaffarnagar. Just seven months after love marriage, a young man killed his wife and chopped her body into pieces, stuffed it in a sack and threw it in the Kali river. The husband who went to float the sack stuck in water hyacinth for seven days was arrested by the police. His friend involved in the crime escaped.
In a press conference at the police line on Thursday, SP City Satyanarayan Prajapat said that on Wednesday night, on a tip-off, Kotwali in-charge Akshay Sharma along with his team arrested Arbaaz son of Islam resident Nyajupura from the Kali river. At that time Arbaaz was trying to move the sack stuck in water hyacinth in the Kali river. When the police took out the sack, it contained the body of a woman, which was cut into pieces.
Married seven months ago
During interrogation, Arbaaz told that seven months ago, without informing his family members, he had a love marriage with Chahat Malik resident Kotdwar Uttarakhand. He used to keep Chahat with him by changing houses. He told that Chahat used to spend a lot. Her expenses were increasing day by day. He used to have a fight with Chahat about this every day. He told this to his friend Shahrukh, resident of Jogio Wali Gali Nyazupura.
Both planned the murder
Both planned to kill Chahat to get rid of her. Seven days ago, they killed Chahat by cutting her neck with a knife in a rented room in Naya Basti Nyazupura. Then they cut off Chahat’s head and fingers and stuffed the body in a sack and threw it in the Kali river.
Police arrested him and sent him to jail
When he and Shahrukh reached the Kali river on Wednesday night, the sack containing the body was stuck in water hyacinth. When Arbaaz was trying to float the sack in the river, the police caught him. After presenting him in the court on Thursday, Arbaaz was sent to jail. Shahrukh is being searched.
During police interrogation, Arbaaz told that Chahat Malik was a resident of Kotdwar. Chahat has no parents. However, the police is not believing his statement because the accused did not clarify where Chahat was from in Kotdwar. CO City Vyom Bindal said that investigation is being done in this regard.
