Bareilly. The threads of the Bengaluru cafe blast case were found to be linked to Bareilly. After getting important clues in the NIA investigation, a team raided the Imam’s house with proper preparation. Then reached the mosque, after six hours of long interrogation, the team took away the Imam’s mobile and diary. The NIA raid created panic in the area.
A five-member team of NIA (National Investigation Agency) Delhi reached Bhojipura police station at 7.30 am on Wednesday. Information regarding an Imam resident of Dhauratanda. Within half an hour, the team along with the police station force and the magistrate raided Imam’s house in Dhauratanda.
The team got hold of a diary
During this time, other people were stopped from visiting the Imam’s house. The team started interrogating him in a closed room. Saw every detail of every room including the box kept in his house. Scrutinized the forms. During this time the team got hold of a diary. The team immediately confiscated the diary.
On the basis of clues received from the diary, the team also took possession of Imam’s mobile phone. The team then took him to the mosque where he is the Imam. Check the forms kept here also. The entire operation took place secretly from 7:30 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon.
Even though Madad was taken along with the police station and magistrate team, he was kept away from the entire action. Even the circumstances in which the team interrogated the Imam were kept confidential. The story came to light when the matter became a topic of headlines in the area after the team left. There was talk that the team had taken the Imam along but the Bhojipura police denied this.
Imam used to teach namaz in Bengaluru itself
During the team’s investigation, it came to light that the Imam used to teach namaz in Bengaluru only. He stayed there for a long time. Here, after the bomb blast incident, he returned to Bareilly. Due to this the team became suspicious of him. Based on the information received from Bengaluru, the team reached Bareilly.
Lucknow NIA was also involved in the investigation of the entire matter. During this time it was revealed that the Imam was preparing to go out from here also. Now the possibility of new facts emerging in the entire episode from diary and mobile has increased. A team is monitoring the activities of the Imam.

On March 1, there was a blast in Rameshwaram Cafe located in Whitefield area of Bengaluru. The city was shaken by the incident. Important clues were found in the investigation from CCTV footage.
According to North SP Mukesh Chandra Mishra, the Delhi NIA team had reached Dhauratanda in connection with the interrogation of the Imam. The team had asked for force, which was provided. The team did not share the information regarding which inquiry was made.
