Chakarnagar. A student who went to school on a bicycle in the morning was abducted by miscreants riding in a car on the approach road. After the incident that took place on the Ganivar contact, the police chased them on the information of the villagers and then the miscreants dropped the car 10 feet into the ditch and escaped through the mustard field. Meanwhile, the villagers caught a miscreant and handed him over to the police. The police are combing the ravines in search of the remaining miscreants.
The 12-year-old son of grocery businessman Yogesh Kumar alias Bablu Gupta, resident of Rajpur Marg in Chakarnagar town, Dhavya alias Umang Gupta, studying in class five, left home on a bicycle at around 8.45 am on Tuesday morning for St. Xavier’s School, Ganiawar. Meanwhile, miscreants sitting in ambush in a car pulled them from the bicycle and put them in the car about 200 meters before the school on the Ganiavar link road.
Hearing the screams of Umang Gupta, passersby informed Bhareh police station on phone. On receiving the information, 112 and Cheetah mobile chased the car. Seeing the police behind, the miscreants crossed the Mahua Suda bridge on the Chambal river of Bhareh police station and entered the Bithauli police station limits.
Seeing themselves surrounded by a dumper at a short distance and not being able to find a side, the miscreants dropped the car into a ditch about 10 feet deep. The car got damaged after falling into a ditch. Despite this, the injured miscreants entered the mustard fields and ran away.
The police reached near the car, took the injured student out of the car and took him to the hospital. Meanwhile, villagers including passers-by gathered at the spot. After about an hour of struggle, the villagers caught a miscreant from the mustard field and handed him over to the police. While other miscreants absconded. The police is busy searching for them. The police have not yet disclosed the number of absconding criminals.
ASP Rural Satyapal Singh, Bhareh, Bithauli, Sahason and Chakarnagar police are searching the ravines in search of miscreants. ASP Rural Satyapal Singh said that a person has been arrested and he is being interrogated. There were two persons in the car, search is on for the second one, the case will be revealed soon.
