Rohit Sharma once again returned to the pavilion on zero in the T20 against Afghanistan in Indore on Sunday. He got bowled on the very first ball. Fazalhaq Faruqui sent him to the pavilion. Even in the first match of this series i.e. Mohali T20, Rohit returned to the pavilion without opening his account. Due to being out on back to back zeroes, he is moving towards making an embarrassing record in T20 International cricket. This is the record of being out on zero the most number of times.
Rohit Sharma has been out on zero 12 times in T20 International so far. He has now come second in terms of returning to the pavilion on zero the maximum number of times in this format of cricket. Here, Ireland’s Paul Stirling is at the first position. Paul has lost his wicket for zero 13 times. That means Rohit Sharma is not far behind in coming on top in this list. In such a situation, he has come very close to the unwanted record of being out for most zeros in T20.
Rohit has returned to T20I after a long break
