Agra. A fire broke out on the third floor of a shoe factory in Shastripuram, Agra on Saturday night. Eight fire brigade teams were deployed. Only then could the fire be brought under control late at night. The cause of the fire is not yet clear.
The factory is in the name of Derby Footwear.
Jitendra Trilokani, a resident of Pandav Nagar in Shahganj, has a factory by the name of Derby Footwear in Shastripuram. The employees had left the factory at 8.30 pm on Saturday night. The factory owners were preparing to leave. Then the guard saw smoke coming out of the third floor window. By the time he went inside the factory, the fire had become huge. Fire brigade reached the spot within about 15 minutes. The fire spread from the third floor to the second floor and ground floor.
The cause of the fire was not clear
The fire also spread to the chemicals kept in the factory. After this there were loud explosions also. Due to this the people around also got scared. Within some time, eight fire engines reached the spot. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 11 pm. Inspector Sikandra Anand Kumar Shahi said that the cause of the fire is not yet clear. There has been a loss of lakhs of rupees in the factory due to the fire. It can be assessed after the fire is extinguished.
Fire spread in factory due to chemical
The fire that started on the third floor spread to the entire factory within a very short time. Police say that chemical was kept in the factory. After the fire on the third floor, the fire spread downwards due to this chemical. After this, firefighters found it difficult to control it.
