This case of ginger theft worth lakhs pertains to Kaptanganj police station area of Basti. A truck was standing here on Highway 28. The truck driver had gone home to have food, after which he fell into a deep sleep. Later when he returned, he found that his truck was almost empty.
Surprisingly, there was a police post just a few steps away from where the truck was parked on the highway, and the theft took place. But the police didn’t get a clue and neither did the thieves show any fear. The driver says that he was going from West Bengal to Delhi.
