Varanasi. The way has been cleared for the ASI survey of Gyanvapi campus. On Friday, while giving a major verdict, the court has approved the survey. The district court of Varanasi accepted the demand of the temple side for scientific investigation of Gyanvapi complex.
District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh, bypassing the objections of the mosque side, has ordered the ASI survey of the rest of the part except Gyanvapi’s Vajukhana.
Arguments of all the parties were completed
The arguments of all the parties in this matter were over. On the last hearing in the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh, the mosque side opposed the application and demanded its dismissal. On the other hand, the temple side had told the scientific method of investigation of Gyanvapi complex to be very important for this case.
Carbon dating case of Shivling
On May 12, the High Court ordered carbon dating of the Shivling found in the Gyanvapi campus during the action of the Advocate Commissioner. After this, on May 19, the temple side submitted an application in the district court of Varanasi, demanding scientific investigation of the entire Gyanvapi complex.
He said that except the part of Gyanvapi which is sealed on the orders of the Supreme Court, the entire campus should be investigated by scientific method. For this, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was demanded to be ordered. Opposing this, the mosque side said in the court that this would damage the mosque present there.
This will affect the important evidence of the trial. He said that in the month of May last year, the proceedings of the Advocate Commissioner took place for five days, the report of which is filed in the court. This has not been discussed yet. In such a situation, the demand for another survey should be rejected.
