Farrukhabad. A case of honor killing has come to light in Kamalganj, where a young man killed his sister and her lover after beating her in the night and then reached the police station in the morning with a blood-stained knife. Police have started investigation by taking him into custody.
Shivani Jatav, 16-year-old daughter of Bhaiyalal Jatav, resident of Rajepur Saraimeda village of Kamalganj, had a love affair with Ramkaran Jatav, 25-year-old son of neighboring Mahavir Jatav. Shivani and Ramkaran were missing since 10 pm on Saturday night. On this, Shivani’s brother Neetu Jatav started investigating. Neetu caught Shivani and her lover Ramkaran late at around 2 pm. First both of them were beaten fiercely, after that both of them fainted, then took them to Shringirampur Sanyogita Marg. There he killed both of them by slitting their throats with a knife in Khanta Nala.
In the early hours of Sunday, the killer Neetu reached the police station with a knife and confessed his crime, telling the police about the incident. After this, station in-charge Amarpal Singh, Khudaganj outpost in-charge Anand Sharma reached. The bodies of both were lying there. The police gathered evidence by calling the dog squad. CO City Pradeep Kumar inspected the spot. Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena reached the spot.
CO City said that the accused has confessed to the incident, but information has been received about the involvement of other relatives of the teenager in the incident. The matter is being intensively investigated. On the other hand, Ramkaran’s relatives did not reach the spot.
