In the Yogi Adityanath government of the state, Panchayati Raj Minister Bhupendra Singh has been appointed as the President of BJP Uttar Pradesh (UP BJP) by the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Legislative Council member and Jat leader Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh will now replace Swatantra Dev Singh.
Bharatiya Janata Party National President Jagat Prakash (JP) Nadda on Thursday appointed Bhupendra Singh as the President of BJP Uttar Pradesh. Bhupendra Singh was called by the top leadership of the BJP to New Delhi on Wednesday. Since then, there was speculation about his position on this post.
Bhapendra Singh is very active in the politics of western Uttar Pradesh as well as Rohilkhand region. He took BJP membership in 1989. Since then, he has been engaged as an active worker of the party. Bhupendra Singh of patient and serious nature has nothing to do with controversies. Choudhary Bhupendra Singh, who runs on the party line, is considered close to Amit Shah, who is considered to be the think tank of the BJP.
Know about BJP State President Bhupendra Singh
- Bhupendra Singh was born on June 3, 1967 in a farmer’s family in Mahendri Sikanderpur village of Kanth Tehsil, Moradabad.
- Elementary education was done from the primary school of the village. He studied till 12th at RN Inter College Moradabad.
- BA first year from Hindu College Moradabad
- Joined BJP in 1989-90 during Ram Mandir movement. During this time he also went to jail several times.
- Became a member of BJP District Working Committee in 1993
- Became Treasurer of the District Executive in 1994 and then District General Secretary in 1995.

- Contested against Mulayam Singh from Sambhal parliamentary seat in 1999, but could not win.
- He was made the department coordinator in 2000 and the regional minister in 2007.
- In 2009, he contested the by-election from Moradabad West assembly seat as a BJP candidate, but could not win.
- From 2010 to 2018 he was the regional president for four terms.
- In 2016, he was sent to the Legislative Council, on the completion of the term on July 6, 2022, he was re-elected to the Legislative Council.
- The party under his leadership performed brilliantly in the 2017 elections in western Uttar Pradesh.
- On the formation of Yogi government in 2017, Panchayati Raj was made Minister of State. In 2019, he became a cabinet minister of the same department. He is also the Minister of Panchayati Raj in the present government.
In the year 2017, for the first time in the Yogi government, he became the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Panchayati Raj Department. Along with this, he was also the Minister of State in the Public Works Department. After the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019, Chaudhary was promoted and made a cabinet minister of the Panchayati Raj Department. Chaudhary is one of the few ministers who became cabinet ministers of Panchayati Raj department in Yogi Sarkar 2.0. Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh has also done a lot of work as a worker of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
