Lucknow. The mortal remains of Sadhna Gupta, wife of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, merged with the Panchtatva on Sunday. After Sadhna Gupta died at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Saturday, her mortal remains were brought to Mulayam Singh Yadav’s residence in Lucknow late night. 62-year-old Sadhna Gupta got corona infected in the year 2020. After which he complained of lung infection. She was battling lung infection since the Corona period.
The body of Sadhna Gupta was cremated on Sunday. His body was cremated by law at Pipra Ghat in Lucknow. Sadhna Gupta’s son Prateek Yadav lit the fire to him. On this occasion, along with Mulayam Singh Yadav, his son Akhilesh Yadav, the President of the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Singh Yadav, the National President of the Progressive Samajwadi Party, Professor Ram Gopal Yadav, the Chief National General Secretary of the SP, Dharmendra Yadav as well as all the ministers of the Uttar Pradesh government. Yadav clan was present with him. Mulayam Singh Yadav was sitting in the car while everyone else went to his funeral pyre at the ghat.
Earlier, the body of his wife was brought to Pipra Ghat from the residence of Mulayam Singh Yadav on Vikramaditya Marg. In Lucknow, since morning there was an influx of leaders to pay tribute to him and pay his last respect.
Sadhna Gupta’s health suddenly worsened on July 11 in Lucknow. After which he was shifted from Lucknow to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on July 5. He breathed his last on 9 July in Gurugram Medanta.
Now in her family there is son Prateek Yadav and daughter-in-law Aparna Bisht Yadav besides husband SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav. Sadhna Gupta was about 20 years younger than Mulayam Singh Yadav.
