Ayodhya. In the case of the blast near Haringtonganj police post, SSP Prashant Verma, taking strict action, has sent outpost in-charge Yashwant Dwivedi and two constables Shubham Gupta and Satyendra Kumar on the line. On the night of July 7 last, there was a strong explosion in a house near the outpost, in which the raw part of the house was demolished.
This house belongs to Rahmat Ullah. After the explosion, the local police repeatedly misled them by saying that the explosion was from a gas cylinder, while during the investigation a huge amount of firecracker making resources and gunpowder was recovered from the house. Action has been taken against the police personnel for giving wrong information to the officials. After the blast at Rahmat Ullah’s house in Semra village on Thursday night, there was a second explosion in gunpowder hidden in a sugarcane field on Friday. In this case, a departmental inquiry is also being conducted against the police personnel who were present on the line.
In this case, Rahmat Ullah was arrested on Saturday and sent to jail. Rahmat Ullah’s son Imran was injured in the blast. The incident has raised questions about the role of the local police. It is believed that the illegal business of crackers was going on for a long time under the protection of the police. According to sources, the role of the police in the blast case was suspected from the very beginning. Now a departmental inquiry has also been started against the outpost in-charge of the line and both the constables.
