Explaining its outline, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to the officials across the state that all illegal vehicle stands should be eliminated within the next 48 hours. There should be systematic parking everywhere, from which people of mafia, anarchy and pimps should be kept away. With instructions not to allow shops outside the designated place, it has been made clear that if the problem of illegal taxi stand is not resolved, then the accountability of the district administration officers will be fixed for this.
For the state level road safety campaign, this time the Chief Minister has prepared an action plan by involving various concerned departments. He told its outline to the officials by video conferencing from Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. Yogi said that the life of every citizen is priceless. It is very sad that every year many people get untimely involved in road accidents due to little carelessness. We have to be ever vigilant and careful. He said that road safety is not the responsibility of only one department.
This will be possible only with collective efforts, so it is necessary to run a campaign with inter-departmental coordination to prevent road accidents. In the first phase of the campaign, the emphasis will be on awareness for the next five days from Thursday. During this, there will be public awareness programs regarding road safety. Along with awareness, the Yogi has full emphasis on strictness. He directed the officials that illegal vehicle stands should be eliminated in the next 48 hours. It is the responsibility of the local administration to make a permanent solution to the problem of illegal taxi stands, otherwise the accountability of the officials will be fixed.
The Chief Minister said that the problem of encroachment on the roads has to be ended. While marking the place for the street vendors, ensure that no one sets up shop outside the designated place. Talk to the traders and make arrangements that every shop should be within its limits. Road not a place for stunting, rein in strictly: Yogi said in the meeting that roads and overbridges are not the place to do stunts. Such anarchy should be strictly curbed. The use of helmets, seatbelts should be strictly enforced. Along with this, it should be ensured in every case that school buses will not operate in any area of the state without any unfit or permit.
Accidents are reported every day due to overspeed on highways and expressways. In such a situation, there is a need to improve the system of black spot improvement, speed measurement, quick medical facility, CCTV etc. The concerned authorities should work in this direction with serious consideration. Trucks should not queue on highways. Further reduce ambulance response time.
