In a viral chat, it has come to the fore of a doctor posted in the emergency department of the institute with a broker to shift the patient of the ventilator.
There is an influx of patients in the emergency of Lohia Institute. Every day many patients are referred to trauma centers and other government hospitals due to lack of space. In this episode, the role of private ambulance drivers and touts comes to the fore. Many private ambulance drivers and touts roam around the hospital premises, luring patients to take them to private hospitals. Now in this the role of a doctor posted in the emergency of Lohia Institute is also coming to the fore.
The driver of 108 service is also involved: In the chat that went viral, along with the broker, the driver of 108 ambulance is also being claimed to be involved. In the conversation between the broker and the doctor, the broker is talking about calling the 108 ambulance number UP 32 BG 8991 as his own, to which the doctor has agreed. After this the broker asked to assign 108 ambulances. In the conversation, the doctor has also informed that the female patient is on ventilator.
The Lohia Institute administration has swung into action in this entire matter. According to Medical Superintendent Dr. Vikram Singh, the matter is in the cognizance of the director of the institute, Dr. Sonia Nityanand. He says that after checking the number and name of the doctor in the viral chat, the investigation of this matter will be completed in two days. If found guilty, action will be taken against the doctor.
