Lakhimpur. Two people died in a road accident in Kotwali Sadar area on Pilibhit Basti Highway late on Sunday evening. The accident took place in a Scorpio car written by MLA, in which two people on the bike lost their lives on the spot. The police have nabbed the Scorpio driver from the spot and have seized the vehicle.
A Scorpio written MLA on Pilibhit Basti Road trampled two bike riders. In the accident, both the youths died prematurely on the spot. Following the accident, the driver fled the spot with the vehicle. But the mob dashed his plans. Seeing the accident, the people around gathered at the spot. The matter was informed to the police. Police reached the information and took the bodies in possession and sent them for post-mortem.
It is said that Ravi and Vikram, who live in village Kiratpur under Kheri police station area, had come to Ramapur on a bike on Sunday evening for some work. Late in the evening, both of them were going back home when they were trampled by a black Scorpio near Pangi Khurd village in Sadar Kotwali area on Pilibhit Basti Road. Both of them died tragically on the spot in the accident.
The driver fled from the spot leaving his vehicle after the accident. MLA is written on the car. Seeing the accident, the people around also reached the spot and informed the police about the matter. On receiving the information, the police of Ramapur outpost reached the spot. The car is being told of Sadar MLA. However, officials are yet to confirm this.
City Kotwal Chandrashekhar Singh told that a black Scorpio had caused the accident. In which two youths have died. MLA is written on the back of Scorpio. Whose Scorpio is it is being investigated. The driver is not in their custody.
In this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh says that the vehicle with which this road accident happened has been taken into custody. Its driver has also been apprehended from the spot. Action is being taken. Although he did not say anything on the question of who was in the vehicle and MLA was written on it, but it is believed that it is Scorpio Sadar MLA, who did not pick up the phone despite calling several times.
