After this innings, he became the first player to score a half-century in the debut match for RCB as captain. Earlier, no RCB captain including Virat Kohli had scored a half-century in his debut match.

The record of completing 3000 runs in the lowest innings in IPL is in the name of Chris Gayle, who did this feat in 75 innings, while KL Rahul is at number two.
