Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a two-day government holiday on Holi. In this regard, a notification was issued by the UP government on Wednesday.
In UP, after a holiday on March 18, on the day of Holi, March 19, Saturday, has also been declared a government holiday. This instruction has been issued by Jitendra Kumar, Principal Secretary, General Administration in the UP Government. Holi is on 18th March, apart from this, a public holiday of Holi has also been declared on 19th March.
Now after Holi, government schools and offices in UP will open directly after March 18 and 19 (Friday and Saturday) on March 21, ie Monday. Because there is a weekly holiday on Sunday (March 20).
In this regard, a notification was issued by the UP government on Wednesday, which said that the festival of Holi will be celebrated in Uttar Pradesh on March 18, 2022 as well as March 19, 2022. Therefore, March 19, 2022 (Saturday) will also be a holiday in the state.
