Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has described it as the best film and has given it a rating of 4.5 and a half. The audiences who reached the theaters also praised the film. Not only this, the audience also became emotional after seeing this film made on Kashmir. A woman cried on seeing the film’s director Vivek and actor Darshan Kumar. The Kashmir Files Story is based on the true stories of the victims of the 1990 Kashmir genocide. After watching the film, a woman broke down badly and started crying in the cinema hall itself. The woman probably appears to be a witness or a victim of the Kashmir massacre. In the film, she broke down seeing the plight of Kashmiri Pandits. He also thanked Darshan Kumar for his heart-touching performance.
